My Matariki Scratch Game!

 We have been learning how to code on scratch. We learnt this for our cybersmart with Mrs Torrie. I enjoyed learning how to code. Have you ever been on scratch before? I found it difficult to find the right types of code to put in to make my character go. I had  a space city background and a dog spaceman. What do you know about scratch? I found it easy to pick my characters colours. We made our scratch Matariki themed because it is the time of Matariki. Today i was able to finish my scratch post. Next time i would change my theme. I want to add to my game by making it longer and change my stars and my sprout. I liked learning how to code on scratch and it was good to learn if  i ever wanted to be a coder when i was older.

Hi bloggers this week we have been learning not to get things of the internet and not to copy things from other people.And we have also been learning about what it was like in the olden days and finding the differences between olden day stuff and nowaday things. I liked the bit when we had to go onto explore and find images that match the olden day things. I love doing cybersmart and you are going to find out what we did and what images we got.

My new learning was that you can make a shadow for your text box.

I enjoyed learning how to make a shadow.

I found it challenging to do nothing.

Test

 I would rather learn to skateboard than surf. Because when you surf you can break a bone and you can get very hurt. I have got a mini skateboard and it is very fun to play on it has got very greasy wheels and it is about the size of my leg the colour of it is blue.Next time I go on it I will try do a trick on it.

Today we made our own stop motion video. This was our very first time doing it. It is very fun.

2020 Profile

My name is Thomas. I go to St Mary's School. I have three sisters and a mum and dad.  My favourite things are crystals and LEGO. I have made a treehouse out of Lego and it is a very big treehouse.


I am looking forward to doing a concert with my guitar this year. I am doing it with my big sister who is better than me at guitar. My goal this year is to get up to Black at Reading. I am on Emerald at the moment.  I am good  at maths and writing. But reading is my favourite. I read chapter books now. I like to learn about crystals. My favourite food to eat is spaghetti bolognese.
