The Water Powered Rocket!

For science we were going to make a water rocket but the rocket was actually a drink bottle. I think that you have to pump up the rocket until you think it is fill enough and then you pull a lever attached to a string and it will let the rocket go. I think this is going to happen because me and my friends had a look at it and we predicted that it was powered by water. We also saw that there was a lever that said pull to release and when you pull the lever it will unlock and launch. I think it will about  five meters high but it depends how much water and air is in the rocket. Click this link to see the video. My story is right bellow.

Do you know what a Aquapod is? An Aquapod is a launch pad that launches the water rocket and it is orange and black and has three legs that holds it up. We wanted the Aquapod to fly so we made it do that. First of all you had to fill the bottle with water a third of the way and leave the rest of the bottle empty but only for know because it is going to fill up with something different soon.

To get the water rocket onto the Aquapod you had to turn the Aquapod upside down and connect the rocket to the white valve and the valve seals the bottle so that the water can't escape. The valve seals the water in the bottle because it has a rubber bit. Then we turned the Aquapod up the right way and the bottle upside down.

To make the rocket fly you had to connect the pump to the other valve which was at the back of the Aquapod. You had to pump the the rocket up with eight to twelve pump's from the pump. The valve didn't have a rubber bit on it because it was a screw valve so you had to screw it on.

To pump the bottle up we had to put the pump on the ground and start pumping. To pump up the bottle  you had to get someone and you had to put your foot on the pump and push down wich made the air go into the bottle and it made air pressure. In another way of explaining it all of the oxygen particles get really close and start vibrating and when there is to many oxygen particles in it and it will shoot up.

When the bottle is ready to launch you have to go five meters away. To launch the rocket there was a special string that you have to pull, the string pulled a lever down wich released something and it made the rocket launch.

When the rocket launched the water was trying to go up but it was down and spraying out the bottom. The air was in the top of the bottle and the pressure was making the bottle go up. It was also the force of the bottle that made it go up so it was both of them making it go up.
