WHALE ART!!!!!

In the past few weeks we have been doing whale watercolour art. We read the book about the seven whales and we based the art on the story. The first part of the story was about a Maori God who the other animals were afraid to even say his name. The God new the past and the future. The story was about seven whales that went around the waters every day and got the news from the other fish. The baby didn't go far because it would have been to dangerous. But he stayed in the shallow water. one day the baby whale didn't get up and got in trouble by the God the God was so angry that he made into hills. For the art first we had to sketch a whale once we had finished drawing we started dying we could use blue green and one colour that was a little bit black. Once we had finished doing the background we did the whale the whale had to be dark in places and light in places. Then we had to paint with white on the parts that were white. Then we went in sharpy on the bits that were black. After we finished that we clued our picture to a white piece of paper and signed our name.

I enjoyed dying the whale and the background.

I found it difficult to get the perfect sketch for the whale it was very tricky but I still think you should try it.
